In his poetry, Mr. Shamlou, spoke consciously of human suffering, injustice and love. Through his distinctive expression of language, he skilfully sided with the oppressed and opposed cruel regimes and their inhumane institutions. The film is a national treasure, an unseen 55 minutes collection of Mansouri’s and Taghvaei’s interviews with the poet and his long time partner, Ayda, two years before he died.
